On July 11, 2018, the Hudson City Police Department arrested a teenager, under 16 year of age, of Ancram, New York, for Burglary 3rd a class C Felony , Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, a class E Felony, and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
On July 11, 2018, at approximately 1:48 am, the Hudson City Police Department received a transferred Columbia County 911 call from a witness stating that a male wearing a mask just broke into a shop located at 513 Warren Street. Police responded to the area and the witness stated that he heard glass break and looked outside and saw the male exiting the shop through the smashed glass door without a shirt on. The caller stated that the suspect began yelling and ran away up the street. Sgt. Dean Rowe, while at the call, observed a shirtless subject running across Warren Street. Police were able to track down and locate the subject. He was identified and discovered to be a juvenile. It was also discovered during the investigation, that the teenager had broken the store front window to Columbia County Department of Motor Vehicle building. The HPD Detectives Unit was called in to assist.
The teen was transported to the City of Hudson Police Department and turned over to his mother. The subject was issued appearance tickets for Columbia County Probation.
