Man who booby-trapped snowmobile trail, sentenced to prison

The Livingston man, who plead guilty to charges, in connection with his arrest on booby-trapping a snowmobile trail, was sentenced to prison in Columbia County Court. From the Columbia County D.A's Office:

On July 23, 2018, Honorable Richard M. Koweek sentenced Jason Higley to one and one-half (1 1/2) to three (3) years (with time served) with the New York State Department of Corrections upon his conviction of Attempted Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree. Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett's Office investigated this matter and arrested Jason Higley. The Public Defender represents Jason Higley. (SCI No. 037-18)

Info from February:

Higley was arrested February 20th and charged with Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief, and Trespass. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said he strung a wire across a snowmobile trail and put a large pipe on it.
