A second house fire in New Baltimore has left seven homeless. Several fire companies responded to 517 High Rock Road just before 4:30 this morning. The Red Cross is assisting the victims.
American Red Cross Aids 7 After New Baltimore Fire
Poughkeepsie, NY (August 9, 2018) - Volunteers from the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to 7 people after a fire on Thursday morning on High Rock Road in New Baltimore, Greene County.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to 2 adults and 5 children, ages 5, 8, 9, 13 & 15. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items and stuffed animals for the children. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
