Event:Severe Thunderstorm WarningAlert:

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a  
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...  East central Ulster County in east central New York...  Northern Dutchess County in east central New York...  Southwestern Columbia County in east central New York...  
* Until 230 PM EDT.  


* At 137 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Red Hook, or  near Saugerties, moving east at 25 mph.  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.  

SOURCE...Radar indicated.  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage  to roofs, siding, and trees.  


* This severe thunderstorm will be near...  Red Hook around 140 PM EDT.  Clermont around 145 PM EDT.  Pine Plains and Ancram around 210 PM EDT.  Copake around 220 PM EDT.  Millerton around 225 PM EDT.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers.
