SHERIFF’S OFFICE EXECUTES SEARCH WARRANT IN THE
CITY OF HUDSON
Hudson, NY- Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett reports that on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at about 12:30pm, a search warrant was executed in the City of Hudson and two local individuals were arrested for their involvement in illegal drug activity.
On November 14, 2018, members of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Hudson Police Department, and the Capital District Drug Enforcement Task Force (DEA) executed a search warrant for the first floor apartment, located at 340 State Street in the City of Hudson. The search warrant was issued by Columbia County Court Judge Richard Koweek.
While executing the warrant, approximately 40 grams of heroin, along with packaging material, was located and seized inside the residence. Additionally, a felony amount of cocaine as well as concentrated cannabis, which is a controlled substance, were recovered by investigators.
The following two individuals were arrested as a result of this investigation:
Howard D. Mackey Jr., 41, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree with intent to sell, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Both Class B Felonies), and three counts of Endangering the welfare of a child (Class A Misdemeanor). Mr. Mackey was arraigned in Greenport Town Court and was remanded to the Columbia County Jail with no bail. His first appearance will be at Hudson City Court on November 15, 2018.
Tasha N. Rogers, 36, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, three counts of Endangering the welfare of a child (All Class A
Misdemeanors), and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation). Ms. Rogers was issued appearance tickets returnable to Hudson City Court on November 28, 2018.
This investigation was initiated after receiving tips from the community regarding illegal activity at the location. These arrests are the result of more than a three month long investigation conducted by members of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the Hudson Police Department, and the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office.
