Claverack man pleads guilty

The Columbia County D.A.'s Office reports that 23 year old Tyler Rossi of Claverack entered a guilty plea of Criminal Contempt, from a domestic incident in October. He's scheduled to be sentenced January 22nd.

Tyler Rossi, 23, of Claverack, was arrested at 4:57am October 1 and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (Class E Felony) and Assault in the Third Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) by Deputies Jerald Rowell and Ted Blank.

Deputies responded to a residence in Claverack for a domestic incident. Rossi is accused of violating an order of protection from Columbia County Family Court. He also assaulted a female by punching and kicking her in the face.

He was arraigned in Claverack Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond. He is scheduled back in court on October 5.
