When I first heard the term "revenge travel," I imagined something far more sinister. Turns out it's not!
According to the Washington Post, revenge travel is the trip most people are planning for when the pandemic is eventually over and it’s safe to visit faraway places again. I guess it's vengeance against COVID-19? (Get in line. We all want to take a shot at that jerk!)
The term “corona hangover” is also being used. That means those places we've always known to be the busiest destinations may actually end up the quietest since most people will still try to avoid the gaggles of tourists.
