OUR LATEST WINTER STORM MADE FOR A ROUGH

RIDE TUESDAY AFTERNOON, ACROSS COLUMBIA

DOZENS OF ACCIDENTS ACROSS THE AREA.

A WOMAN WAS INJURED AFTER STRIKING A

GUARD RAIL ON ROUTE 9G IN GREENPORT,

A TRUCK SNAPPED A POLE ON HOVER AVENUE

IN GERMANTOWN, AND A CAR CRASHED INTO

A BARN ON LIVINGSTON ROAD IN

TAGHKANIC.

OTHER ACCIDENTS THAT BROUGHT AN

EMERGENCY RESPONSE, WERE ON ROUTE 23

IN HILLSDALE AND ON SCHNACKENBERG ROAD

IN GHENT.

WITH A JURY IN PLACE, THE TRIAL OF THREE

MASSACHUSETTS WOMEN BEGIN TODAY IN COLUMBIA

COUNTY COURT. THE THREE, CELESTE BARRETT,

DOMINIQUE SATRAPE, AND SHAMYIA ROBINSON

WERE ARRESTED ON FELONY DRUG CHARGES,

AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP ON THE TACONIC PARKWAY

IN CLAVERACK IN DECEMBER 2017.

A TRAFFIC STOP ON MAIN STREET IN

PHILMONT ENDED WITH TWO OCCUPANTS FACING

DRUG CHARGES. BOTH 24 YEAR OLD JAMES

CONNOLLY OF GHENT AND AN 18 YEAR OLD

MALE FROM PHILMONT WERE CHARGED WITH

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE AND MARIJUANA POSSESSION BY

STATE POLICE. BOTH HAVE SCHEDULED

COURT APPEARANCES.

FIREFIGHTERS FROM NEW YORK CITY ARE AT

HUNTER MOUNTAIN TODAY. THE 47TH ANNUAL

EAST COAST FIREFIGHTER'S RACE HAS

FIREFIGHTERS IN FULL TURNOUT GEAR,

NAVIGATING A COURSE WHILE CARRYING A

50 FOOT FIRE HOSE. PROCEEDS OF THE

EVENT GO TO THE NEW YORK FIREFIGHTER'S

BURN CENTER FOUNDATION. IT RUNS FROM
