FIREFIGHTERS ON THE MOUNTAINTOP IN

GREENE COUNTY WERE KEPT BUSY WITH TWO

HOUSE FIRES, ON THE SAME STREET IN

LANESVILLE.

FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO 44 DIVISION

STREET JUST AFTER 9:30 YESTERDAY MORNING.

ARRIVING UNITS REPORTED A WORKING

STRUCTURE FIRE.

A LARGER FIRE BROKE OUT AROUND 3 AT

57 DIVISION STREET. AROUND HALF A

DOZEN COMPANIES RESPONDED. CREWS HAD

TO FIGHT THE FIRE IN SUB ZERO TEMPERATURES.

THE GREENE COUNTY HAZ-MAT TEAM WAS

CONTACTED TO BEING WARMING TENTS.

A COXSACKIE MAN, WHO WAS ARRESTED ON

FELONY DRUG CHARGES LAST JULY, HAS BEEN

ARRESTED AGAIN. STATE POLICE CHARGED

22 YEAR OLD ALEXANDER MAZARIEGO WITH

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE, WITH INTENT TO SELL, AND

CRIMINAL SALE OF NARCOTICS. HE WAS

TAKEN TO THE GREENE COUNTY JAIL.

A STEPHENTOWN MAN WAS CHARGED IN

NEW LEBANON WITH ANIMAL CRUELTY.

33 YEAR OLD ANDREW TUTHILL WAS

ARRESTED ON ROUTE 20 AND CHARGED WITH

AGGRAVATED CRUELTY TO ANIMALS, FAILING

TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE SHELTER FOR

DOGS, AND BAIL JUMPING.

A CATSKILL MAN IS CHARGED WITH BAIL

JUMPING, FOR ALLEGEDLY NOT SHOWING

UP TO COURT. 25 YEAR OLD DREW

HULBERT WAS PICKED UP ON DEPOT STREET,

AND HELD BY POLICE.

NO INJURIES WEDNESDAY MORNING, AFTER

A CAR ROLLED OVER IN NEW LEBANON.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE CALLED TO

ROUTE 22 JUST BEFORE 8.
