AN AUTOPSY IS SCHEDULED TODAY, ON THE BODY

OF A MAN FOUND IN A BURNED OUT CAR IN

COPAKE. THE DISCOVERY WAS MADE EARLY

YESTERDAY MORNING, AFTER THE FIRE WAS

PUT OUT, AT A HOME ON NORTH MOUNTAIN ROAD.

A DECEASED DOG WAS ALSO FOUND IN THE CAR.

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

IS DOING THE INVESTIGATION.

A GHENT MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY JAIL, AFTER HE WAS CHARGED WITH

GRAND LARCENY AND FORGERY. STATE POLICE

SAY, 33 YEAR OLD RAYMOND LIPPMAN STOLE

A COMPANY CREDIT CARD AND USED IT FOR OVER

1000 DOLLARS IN PURCHASES. THE ALLEGED

CRIME TOOK PLACE AT THE HUDSON VALLEY

CREAMERY IN LIVINGSTON.

QUICK WORK BY FIREFIGHTERS, KEPT A

MATTRESS FIRE FROM SPREADING TO A

STRUCTURE LAST NIGHT IN STUYVESANT

FALLS. CREWS WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE

AT 950 COUNTY ROUTE 25 AROUND 7:45.

SEVERAL GREENE COUNTY FIRE COMPANIES

WERE ON THE SCENE OF A HOUSE FIRE

FRIDAY AFTERNOON IN NEW BALTIMORE.

THE CALL FIRST CAME IN JUST AFTER

1:30 AS AN APPLIANCE FIRE AT 622

HILLCREST ROAD.

A 21 YEAR OLD MAN WAS RUSHED TO

ALBANY MED FRIDAY MORNING, WITH WHAT

COLUMBIA COUNTY 9 1 1 CALLED A

SERIOUS HEMORRHAGE, FOLLOWING A

ONE CAR ACCIDENT IN GERMANTOWN.

IT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 11:30 ON

ROUTE 9G, WHEN HE STRUCK A TREE.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ON

THE SCENE OF TWO ACCIDENTS ON ROUTE

9W IN ATHENS YESTERDAY. THE FIRST

WAS JUST BEFORE 9, IN AN AREA NORTH

OF LEEDS ATHENS ROAD. THE SECOND,

TWO HOURS LATER, WAS IN FRONT OF

DOLLAR GENERAL.

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA

MEMORIAL FRIDAY MORNING, AFTER A

CAR AND PICKUP COLLIDED IN HUDSON.

THE CRASH WAS ON UNION STREET, AT

WEST COURT STREET.

OTHER ACCIDENTS YESTERDAY THAT

BROUGHT AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE, WERE

IN TAGHKANIC, IN THE NORTHBOUND LANES

OF THE PARKWAY, ON THE THRUWAY IN

CATSKILL, ON ROUTE 295 IN CANAAN,

AND ON ROUTE 9 IN KINDERHOOK.

A LEEDS MAN IS ACCUSED OF VIOLATING

AN ORDER OF PROTECTION IN GREENPORT.

31 YEAR OLD CRUZ RIVERA WAS CHARGED

WITH CRIMINAL CONTEMPT BY STATE

POLICE. HE WAS RELEASED, PENDING

A COURT APPEARANCE.

THE 10TH ANNUAL HUDSON PRIDE

PARADE TAKES PLACE THIS AFTERNOON

ON WARREN STREET. IT STEPS OFF AT

2 FROM THE 7TH STREET PARK AND

HEADS TO THE RIVER. EVENTS ARE

PLANNED AROUND HUDSON FOLLOWING

THE PARADE.
