A 20 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS RUSHED TO ALBANY

MED FRIDAY AFTERNOON, AFTER HER CAR STRUCK

A TREE IN STOTTVILLE. THE THE WOMAN HAD

SERIOUS INJURIES IN THE CRASH ON HILL STREET.

THE ROAD WAS CLOSED FOR CLOSE TO AN HOUR.

A MAN WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL LAST

NIGHT, AFTER A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT IN

HUDSON. WE'RE TOLD THAT THE MAN LOST

CONTROL OF THE BIKE, WHILE ATTEMPTING

TO AVOID A CAR. THE ACCIDENT WAS AROUND

7:40 AT COLUMBIA STREET AND PROSPECT

AVENUE.

IT'S BEEN A BUSY TWO DAYS AT ANIMALKIND

IN HUDSON, WITH TWO KITTENS BEING

TREATED FROM SEPARATE INCIDENTS IN

GREENE COUNTY. THE FIRST WAS FOUND

THURSDAY NIGHT, STUCK IN TAR, UNDER

A DUMPSTER IN ATHENS. THE SECOND

WAS ATTACKED BY A RACCOON IN CAIRO

FRIDAY NIGHT.

TO CLOSE FRIDAY, THROUGH THE END OF

AUGUST. COUNTY ROUTE 9 WILL BE USED

AS A DETOUR.

THE MUCH ANTICIPATED RIP VAN WINKLE

FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE TODAY IN CATSKILL.

THE FRIENDS OF RIP VAN WINKLE WILL

HOST THE EVENT ON MAIN STREET STARTING

AT NOON. THE GROUP IS FIGHTING TO

KEEP THE HISTORIC FIGURE AS MASCOT

OF THE VILLAGE.

THERE WILL BE FIREWORKS TONIGHT IN

CATSKILL. THE LIGHT SHOW BEGINS AT

DUSK AND IS PART OF THE THOMAS COLE

HISTORIC SITE'S 2019 SUMMER PARTY.

THEY CAN BE SEEN ANYWHERE ALONG

THE RIVER.
