A PHILMONT WOMAN IS FACING MULTIPLE

FELONY CHARGES, FOLLOWING AN INVESTIGATION

INTO AN INCIDENT IN CANAAN. STATE POLICE

CHARGED 39 YEAR OLD KELLI WAGERS WITH

TWO COUNTS OF CRIMINAL SEX ACT, WITH A

VICTIM UNDER 17, TWO COUNTS OF SEXUAL

ABUSE, AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT. THE

INVESTIGATION BEGAN JUNE 17TH.

IN A SEPARATE CASE, A VALATIE MAN HAS

BEEN CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF FELONY

RAPE. STATE POLICE SAY, THE VICTIM WAS

UNDER 17. 21 YEAR OLD CHRISTIAN GOMEZ-

LOYOLA WAS HELD BY POLICE FOLLOWING

HIS ARREST.

A BURGLARY INVESTIGATION FROM MAY IN THE

VILLAGE OF HUNTER HAS LEAD TO THE ARREST

OF AN ELKA PARK MAN. 36 YEAR OLD THOMAS

SHUBURTE WAS CHARGED WITH BURGLARY,

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, AND GRAND LARCENY,

ALL FELONIES.

A MASSACHUSETTS MAN WAS AIRLIFTED TO

ALBANY MED, FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT

SATURDAY EVENING IN COPAKE. THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS, 26 YEAR

OLD IAN CADEN'S CAR LEFT ROUTE 22,

STRUCK A GUARD RAIL AND BECAME AIRBORNE,

LANDING IN ROE JAN CREEK. THE MAN HAD

BACK, SPINE, AND HEAD INJURIES.

OTHER ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND WERE

ON ROUTE 203 IN AUSTERLITZ, MAPLE

AVENUE IN CATSKILL, AND MOUNT MERINO

ROAD IN GREENPORT.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE CALLED

TO THE HIGH FALLS CONSERVATION AREA

IN PHILMONT SUNDAY AFTERNOON, WHERE A MAN

STRUCK HIS HEAD WHILE JUMPING IN THE WATER.

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

SAYS THE MAN REFUSED MEDICAL TREATMENT,

AFTER THE LIFE NET HELICOPTER HAD

LANDED.

GOOD NEWS ON THE KITTEN FOUND IN

ATHENS, STUCK IN TAR. ANIMALKIND

OFFICIALS REPORT THAT "LUCKY" IS NOW

AT HIS FOSTER HOME, CONTINUING TO

RECOVER, AND IS DOING WELL.
