THE STATE TAX DEPARTMENT IS WARNING

OF A NEW SCAM. THIS ONE COMES IN

THE MAIL. THEY SAY, SOME PEOPLE HAVE

GOTTEN A LETTER THAT DEMANDS IMMEDIATE

PAYMENT FOR AN OUTSTANDING TAX DEBT.

THE LETTER THREATENS THAT A DRIVER'S

LICENSE AND PASSPORT WILL BE REVOKED.

A COPY OF THE LETTER IS HERE:.

A 59 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS INJURED

FRIDAY AFTERNOON, IN AN ACCIDENT

IN NEW BALTIMORE. THE CRASH WAS

ON ROUTE 9W AT ROUTE 144 JUST

BEFORE 2:30.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ALSO

ON THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

YESTERDAY IN WEST GHENT. TRAFFIC

WAS BACKED UP ON ROUTE 9H AS

THEY WORKED ON THE INJURED. THE

COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S

OFFICE INVESTIGATED.

A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN WINDHAM ENDED

WITH A YONKERS MAN FACING CHARGES.

21 YEAR OLD LEONARDO GENOVA WAS

CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AND HARASSMENT. HE

WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION.

HE'LL ANSWER THE CHARGES IN TOWN

COURT.

A TRAFFIC STOP ON ROUTE 9 IN THE

CITY OF HUDSON HAS LEAD TO DRUG

CHARGES FOR TWO EAST DURHAM RESIDENTS.

BOTH, KURT AND FELICIA CANGELOSI

WERE CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL POSSESSION

OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BY STATE

POLICE. THEY HAVE SCHEDULED COURT

APPEARANCES.

A NEW SCHOOLGIRL QUEEN WAS NAMED

LAST NIGHT AT THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

FAIR. MARIA KREIN OF GERMANTOWN

CENTRAL SCHOOLS WAS NAMED THE

WINNER, IN THE 83RD ANNUAL

CEREMONY. SHE WILL SERVE FOR A YEAR.

TODAY IS DAY 4 OF THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY FAIR. THE ANNUAL FIREFIGHTER'S

PARADE STEPS OFF AT 11 THIS MORNING.
