A SCARY SITUATION SATURDAY AFTERNOON

AT GREENE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, WHEN

A 28 YEAR OLD FEMALE OFFICER, WORKING

IN THE PACKAGE ROOM, SUDDENLY BECAME

SICK AND WAS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING.

FIREFIGHTERS, PARAMEDICS, AND HAZ-MAT

TEAMS RESPONDED. WE'RE TOLD TWO

PATIENTS WERE TAKEN TO ALBANY MED.

STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING.

A WYNANSKILL MAN WAS SENT TO THE GREENE

COUNTY JAIL ON FELONY DRUG CHARGES

AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP ON ROUTE 9W IN

NEW BALTIMORE. STATE POLICE SAY, 31

YEAR OLD JOHN HAFFNER WAS IN POSSESSION

OF COCAINE, PACKAGED FOR SALE.

TWO PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO ALBANY MED

SATURDAY AFTERNOON, AFTER THEIR VEHICLE

ROLLED OVER IN AUSTERLITZ. THE ACCIDENT

HAPPENED ON COUNTY ROUTE 9 JUST AFTER 5.

WINDHAM FIRE AND AMBULANCE WERE ALSO

ON THE SCENE OF A ROLLOVER ACCIDENT.

IT WAS SUNDAY MORNING ON ROUTE 23.

THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO GET OUT

BEFORE THEY ARRIVED.

TWO PEOPLE INJURED SUNDAY, IN A TWO

CAR ACCIDENT IN PALENVILLE. FIRE AND

RESCUE CREWS RESPONDED TO ROUTE 23A

JUST AFTER 4.

AN ACCIDENT SUNDAY NIGHT BROUGHT

STOCKPORT FIRE AND GREENPORT RESCUE

TO ROUTE 9, NORTH OF COUNTY ROUTE

25-B. THE CALL CAME IN JUST AFTER

8. STATE POLICE INVESTIGATED.

AN INJURED HUNTER WAS AIRLIFTED TO

ALBANY MED SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

ANCRAM FIRE AND COMMUNITY RESCUE

ASSISTED IN GETTING THE MAN OUT OF

THE WOODS ON STEWARTS ROAD. THE

COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

AND STATE POLICE WERE ON THE SCENE.

FIVE PEOPLE WERE RESCUED YESTERDAY,

AFTER THEIR BOAT BECAME DISABLED

ON THE HUDSON RIVER. CREWS RESPONDED

IN THE AREA OF THE RIP VAN WINKLE BRIDGE,

WHEN THE 27 FOOT A-LINER STRUCK AN

OBJECT BENEATH THE WATER, THAT LEFT

THEIR ENGINE DISABLED.
