NEW YORK – Federal authorities have arrested a Saugerties man on charges that he supplied fellow Saugerties resident Samantha Shader with containers for her to use in her firebombing of a police vehicle in Brooklyn on May 30.
Shader, 27, has been under arrest and now, authorities arrested Timothy Amerman, 29, a painter, for allegedly supplying her with paint cans, glass bottles, marijuana and gas money as she was going to New York City to “cause hell.”
A note with Amerman’s fingerprints was found in the car Shader drove down.
Prosecutors said he later admitted supplying Shader with the “projectiles to throw at police and counter-protestors,” according to the federal complaint.
He is charged with civil disorder and civil disorder conspiracy and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
